How have you been doing? We’ve missed you!

Last Saturday was a beautiful day with so many great stories to tell. It was great seeing the sun with us for a change. Not only did we have an AMAZING Free Hug campaign, we also help a memorial to the recently deceased Michael Jackson, peace be with him.

As for ourselves at the company, we’ve been very busy putting together the upcoming book signing for the new Golden Rainbow Villages book. To establish a government that works:

(extract from Golden Rainbow Villages book)

There are many forms of government that are possible, some of which have already been tested in reality. Yet, so far, we are yet to find the perfect form of government that could rule justly. Perhaps the problem isn’t finding a government that works, but rather finding the right government for us. A totalitarian dictatorship, for example, would be the perfect form of government for ants, but it would not work for us.
The common belief that republic democracy is the best form of government, but it is now becoming clear that the American republic is being played with by a handful of elites using the so-called democracy to manipulate themselves to power. It can only be concluded that republics are not apt enough to truly represent the public’s opinions.
So what is the best form of government? In my opinion, it is none other than the dreaded anarchy our governments seem so scared of. Anarchy, it must be noted, is not the absence of order, only the absence of a solid government. To achieve an anarchy would be very difficult, but a chalenge of many rewards it is.

Anarchy is sometimes inaccurately defined as lawlessness and disorder, but its simple definition is “without a ruler.” So, it does not mean the absence of order, as is commonly supposed, but the absence of rule (coercive authority, hierarchical organization.) An anarchist society would be organized from the bottom up by voluntary cooperative participation and association of its individuals.

Back and big

Hello everyone!
It’s been a long week, but at last with the weekend here we can have some fun again. Our astrologist tells us that the weather is going to be fine and that we should use turquoise for protection. We’re not sure about the second part, but we take the news as a very good sign

So Saturday we are going to appear en-mass and show people we’re still fighting for New York’s soul. We also have a candlelight ceremony arranged for later in the evening in memory of one famous pop star who passed away only recently.

Bring some candles and lets share the light together.

Then on Sunday we’ll gather around for Free Hugs in Time Square. Last week we managed to take over, and even the police officers couldn’t resist getting Free Hugs.

And finally, the infamous Golden Rainbow Villages book signing is looming closer and we are very excited about being involved in the publication. Furthermore, we are so excited we will be giving all of YOU a special discount for

You are doing beautiful work

Hello again my friends!

A week has come and passed and so much has happened. Unfortunately because of the weather Friday Free Hugs was called off. But we assure you that be the weather nice and shiny come Saturday we shall be out there bringing cheer to the world!

I’d like to tell you about something that happened to me a few days ago. I was sitting at a coffee shop people watching and thinking about all that we’ve been doing in the last few weeks. It always amazes me that NYC still remains one of the most discontent cities in the world. We have so many different elasticities here, yet we have such terrible racial differentiations. We celebrate democracy, yet we have so few freedoms.

I realized there is so much wrong in this world, so much chaos and so much destruction. I looked down the street and saw countless thousands running around ignoring one another. I saw over one thousand people and not one smile!

How can so many people be so impersonal? How can we have no such interaction? How come we don’t spare even one smile to another human being? Are we that cheep that we can’t afford one smile to someone we don’t know?

With these thoughts in my mind I payed for my coffee and went to do my business. But as I was walking down the street myself, I glanced at a random person standing on the side. To my surprise I slowed and gave him the best smile I had that day. To my total amazement he smiled back!

A smiled alone cheered me up.

And that is what we want to tell you guys. What we are doing is more then just cheering a few people up. It’s more then helping the poor or making a political point.

WE ARE MAKING A CHANGE!

We are doing amazing work here, and it is almost a duty for us to do it! It is out mission to bring people closer and help them realize their potential. It is our job to bring change to the city of New York so that that change will spread to the rest of the world!

Imagine a New York where everyone is accepted, where no one goes unheard and everyone can be happy! Welcome to our vision.

Saturday was a Rave

WOW!

This last weekend was no doubt amazing. We were joined for the Free Hug campaign with the silent rave, unfortunately not sponsored by (but maybe next time…)

It was amazing watching so many people coming together in love and friendship. For those of you who were not there and do not know what a silent rave is about- a silent rave is when a large number of people bring their iPods and all dance together to their own beats. As simple a concept as it sounds, the event quickly evolved into a massive party and celebration (do we need a reason?).

Also in the news is the Golden Rainbow Villages project, which is finally coming to a conclusion! We are very proud to announce that we will be having an official book signing on July 7! Doors open at 7:00 PM at Muriel Stockdale’s place on July 7, 2009. More details are coming soon!

Good news everyone

Good news everyone!

Our Free Hug campaigns have been such a success that we want to expand with more free and entertaining activities! Of course we are overrun with working on the current number of campaigns, and the number of requests we are getting is starting to be overwhelming, even for us!

As well as Free Hugs we’ll be soon starting a new and experamental campaign. So far we can only reveal that it is called the “give or take” campaign. Testing is going on right now to see how effective this campaign could be and we will keep you posted on how it goes. What we can say so far is that it is a unique idea that is almost unheard of, especially in New York City. It looks like it’s going to be another revolution in the making!

On to our Free Hug news, as we announced earlier this week we are now having Free Hugs on Friday AND Saturday. This Friday we will begin in Union Square at approximately noon, then at approximately 6:00 PM we will have a small group head down to Wall Street, we need 2-3 volunteers for now.

Saturday we will have Free Hugs once again in Union Square at noon. Then at 6:00 we will move the party to Time Square where things are going to be PACKED! I don’t know how many of you have been to Time Square recently, but I can tell you that the tourist season this year is not going to disappoint! It is our duty to send the Free Hugs and message all over the world! Please join us for a whole lot of fun and excitement!

As for angel walking. We know many of you are excited about trying it out. We keep getting complaints by people looking forward to having it and then we disappoint. But we reassure you that we will soon have out angel walking organized soon! For those of you who do not know what angel walking is read about it here.

These are exciting times. Things are beginning to happen and events are beginning to unfold. Soon the entire face of New York is going to be changing, and we are going to be in the middle of it!

New logo!

Hello all!

This is just a quick update to tell you that we have finalized
our logo, which can now be used. You can see it right above.
We’ll be coming out with many different variations of it soon
too.

Last Friday and Saturday we had a very exciting free hugs
campaign, which will lead us to starting free hugs on
Fridays and Saturdays, soon also Sundays! We will also
be starting many more campaigns all over NYC. You can
see what’s on the schedule on the Campaigns page on
the website or on the Calender page. Furthermore, if
anyone has any brilliant ideas, as we know you do, want
to start a campaign or take part in one of the already
existing ones send us an email with your ideas and we’ll
do what we can to help you. This is the place where you
make your dreams and ideas be created and grow!

Keep checking the website as well. We are updating it
with knew things and pages on a daily bases. We’ve
expanded out Campaigns pages and are working on
out merchandise shop. Soon you’ll be able to order
new products online like it should be. We are also
about to put up a LOT of information and details about
the LightSource movement, Thou Art God philosophy
and a whole lot of empowering details.

Saturday Free Hugs!

Hello everyone!

I’d like to start off by welcoming all the new
members who just joined us. We are growing even
faster then I ever anticipated!

This is very exciting for all of us. We are about to
publish are long awaited new logo which is getting
a few finishing touches but will be reveal real soon,
then we will also be printing fliers and information
for everyone! I can’t tell you how much work we’ve
been putting into this, and it’s finally paying off!

But enough of that. You will all see real soon. For
now I’ll announce that this Saturday, May 23, we
will be having Free Hugs once again in Union
Square. Everyone is invited. Then, depending on
our mood and how many people are there, we will
move to Time Square for even more action and
excitement.

Another announcement is that beginning with next
week we will be having Free Hugs on Fridays as
well!

Hello and welcome!

Hello and welcome all!

This is officially the first of many newsletters and

updates you will be receiving from us! We are

very excited to tell you about all the new and

amazing things going on.

Where do we begin?

First of all we have new photos and videos from our Free

Hugs campaigns, which is absolutely amazing. You can

see them here and here. All of which can be found on our

new website.

Ah, the website! We are now hosting on

http://www.lightsourcemovement.com and are working

hard to make the website look good. Check it out and tell

us what you think! Any suggestions or ideas are more

then welcome at this point. If you have more pictures or

videos please send them to us.

Which brings me to another announcement! We have a

facebook! Check it out at

and join us there too! We are a fast growing community,

and we are very excited about it.

Now we know you’ve been waiting a long time, but we are

just finishing up our new logos and designs as we speak

and are going to have fliers and pamphlets soon after!

These can be handed out at out Free Hugs campaigns

throughout New York.

Which brings me to the exciting news about the success

of the Free Hugs campaigns. Due to popular request we

are putting forth efforts to host them on Fridays and

Sundays as well as continuing them on Saturdays.

Furthermore we are putting forth more efforts to have

multiple groups. So far we only have our team in Union

Square, NYC, but soon we’ll have organized teams in Time

Square, Columbus circle, Wall Street and UN plaza. If you

are interested in leading a group in one of these locations

or want to open a new location not listed please contact us

and we will supply you with signs and shirts, as well as

other merchandise which we’ll publish soon (alas, we’ll tell

you of that next time).
